Giants 6, Rockies 5: Winning pitcher Madison Bumgarner hit a grand slam and drove in five runs as San Francisco continued its mastery of Colorado at home.

Brandon Crawford walked with the bases loaded and tripled for the Giants, who have won 14 of their last 16 meetings with the Rockies at AT&T Park. Bumgarner (2-0) allowed four runs and nine hits while striking out seven and Sergio Romo struck out the side in the ninth to record his third save.

Carlos Gonzalez hit a two-run homer, Charlie Culberson and Charlie Blackmon drove in runs with pinch hits and Josh Rutledge had three hits for the Rockies. Jorge De La Rosa (0-2) turned in his third sub-par performance in three starts, allowing six runs and four hits while striking out six in 4 1/3 innings as his ERA rose to 9.69.

Gonzalez, 12-for-33 with five home runs against Bumgarner, lined a 3-2 curveball into McCovey Cove with Rutledge aboard to give Colorado a 3-0 lead in the third. San Francisco trimmed the deficit to 3-1 in the bottom half when Crawford led off with a triple and scored on Bumgarner's sacrifice fly.

After Crawford walked on four pitches to force in a run, Bumgarner crushed De La Rosa's next pitch deep into the left-seats. Blackmon's RBI single made it 6-5 in the eighth, but Blackmon was caught off second on a grounder back to the mound and Jordan Pacheco was doubled off first by Juan Perez on a routine flyout to center.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki (quad) and Colorado C Wilin Rosario (left wrist strain) were out of the starting lineup, but Tulowitzki pinch-hit for Rutledge in his first action since Tuesday and struck out to end the game. ... Bumgarner had his streak of 21 games allowing three or fewer earned runs snapped, falling one contest short of matching Fred Anderson's club record set in 1916-18. ... The only other pitcher to hit a grand slam for the Giants since the team moved to San Francisco in 1958 was Shawn Estes in 2000.
