Joey Votto and Jay Bruce added RBIs for Cincinnati, which had its three-game winning streak snapped while losing for the second time in eight games.

Barmes and Chris Stewart started Pittsburgh's three-run fifth with one-out back-to-back singles and after Barmes advanced to third on a fielder's choice bunt by Locke, Reds starter Homer Bailey balked him home. Polanco followed with an infield hit before Marte and McCutchen delivered run-scoring singles to make it 3-2.
