Reds 4, Phillies 1: Homer Bailey ripped a two-run single and tossed eight solid innings to win his career high-tying fourth consecutive start as host Cincinnati claimed the rubber match of the three-game series.

Billy Hamilton belted a two-run homer to cap the four-run fifth inning for the Reds, who scored 10 runs in their last two games after mustering just three in their previous three losses. Zack Cozart and Todd Frazier each had a hit and scored a run.

Bailey (7-3) recorded his sixth win in his last seven decisions and avenged a porous performance in a 12-1 loss to Philadelphia on May 17. The 28-year-old allowed one run on six hits and fanned seven before Aroldis Chapman struck out the side in the ninth for his ninth save.

After Chase Utley's sacrifice fly in the third gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead, Frazier singled to lead off the fifth and Cozart followed two batters later with a double to put runners in scoring position. Bailey plated both with a single through the drawn-in infield before Hamilton snapped an 0-for-12 slump by jumping on a 3-2 changeup from rookie David Buchanan (1-3) for his second career homer.

Buchanan, who permitted just two hits in the first four innings, was done in by his performance in the fifth. The 25-year-old finished his fourth major-league start by yielding four runs on six hits in six frames as Philadelphia fell for the eighth time in nine games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Phillies SS Jimmy Rollins' single in the third inning was the 2,230th hit of his career, moving within four of tying Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt for the franchise lead. ... Cincinnati manager Bryan Price said that RHP Mat Latos will rejoin the team after making his fourth rehab assignment for Triple-A Louisville on Monday. Latos is working his way back from a strained flexor mass tendon in his right forearm. ... The Phillies return home to open a six-game homestand by beginning a three-game set versus San Diego on Tuesday. The Reds wrap up their 10-game homestand by opening a four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday.
