Reds 8, Giants 3: Devin Mesoraco belted a two-run homer while Brandon Phillips and Jay Bruce also drove in two runs apiece as host Cincinnati extended its winning streak to four games.

Bruce, Billy Hamilton and Todd Frazier each scored a pair of runs for the Reds, who have won 11 of their last 12 home meetings with the Giants. Homer Bailey (6-3) allowed three runs and five hits in six innings, striking out seven in his first start against San Francisco since tossing his second career no-hitter on July 2.

Hunter Pence went 3-for-4 with a solo homer while Joaquin Arias and Pablo Sandoval lifted sacrifice flies for the Giants, who lost for just the second time in seven contests. Tim Lincecum (4-4) was tagged for eight runs and six hits over 4 1/3 frames as he fell to 0-4 with a 9.79 ERA in six career regular-season starts versus the Reds.

After Pence gave San Francisco an early lead with his eighth blast of the season, Cincinnati plated four runs in the bottom of the first to move ahead for good. Hamilton scored on a throwing error by Lincecum before Bruce delivered an RBI double and scored on Mesoraco's ninth homer.

The Giants scored single runs in the second and third to get within 4-3, but the Reds staged another four-run rally in the fifth, chasing Lincecum in the process. Phillips hit a two-run double and scored on a single by Bruce, who came home on a Brayan Pena's groundout for an 8-3 cushion.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Reds have won nine of their last 11 regular-season meetings with the Giants. ... San Francisco 1B Buster Posey had gone 0-for-13 lifetime against Bailey before recording a single in the fifth inning. ... Bailey, who has yielded three runs or fewer in six of his last seven outings, has posted three straight victories and five in six decisions. He improved to 3-0 in seven career starts against the Giants.
