Indians 11, Tigers 10 (13): Asdrubal Cabrera scored the game-winning run on a balk with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 13th, lifting host Cleveland to a wild win and a series sweep that involved two walk-off victories.

Alex Avila gave Detroit a 10-9 lead with a solo homer off Josh Tomlin (3-1) in the top of the 13th, but the Indians tied it on Michael Brantley's opposite-field hit off Phil Coke (0-1) in the bottom half. Al Alburquerque took over and issued an intentional walk to Yan Gomes to load the bases and then hesitated coming to a set before what would have been his second pitch to Ryan Raburn, allowing Cabrera - who was hit by a pitch earlier in the frame - to trot in.

Cleveland earned its extra-inning opportunity when David Murphy yanked a game-tying two-run shot off Tigers closer Joe Nathan with one out in the ninth. Murphy had four RBIs, Brantley was 4-for-7 with three RBIs and Lonnie Chisenhall homered for the Indians, who used eight pitchers in relief of struggling starter Zach McAllister.

Victor Martinez was 3-for-6 with a home run and J.D. Martinez had a solo shot and three RBIs for the Tigers, who led 4-1 after one and later rallied from a 7-5 deficit to take the two-run lead into the ninth. Starter Max Scherzer gave up a season-high seven runs - all in the first three innings - and 12 hits in seven frames, while Nathan blew his third save.

Cleveland's five-run second and Chisenhall's solo shot made it 7-5 in the third, but Scherzer settled down to allow Detroit to tie it in the fifth and go ahead in the eighth, when an error and a run-scoring hit by J.D. Martinez made it 9-7. Brantley, who won the opener with a 10th-inning home run, singled with one out in the ninth and Murphy pulled Nathan's breaking ball into the seats in right to tie it.

GAME NOTEBOOK: McAllister gave up five runs (four earned) in two-plus innings and has surrendered 12 earned runs in 3 1/3 frames over his last two starts. ... Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera, who had a sacrifice fly in Detroit's four-run first, and manager Brad Ausmus were ejected in the sixth after both argued with home plate umpire Tim Timmons that Cabrera had checked his swing on a pitch. ... Tomlin was the scheduled starter for Cleveland's series opener in Baltimore on Thursday.
