Dodgers 2, Braves 1: Clayton Kershaw recorded his second straight complete game and Yasiel Puig homered as host Los Angeles extended its season-best winning streak to six games.

Kershaw (13-2) posted his 10th straight win by yielding one run and nine hits while striking out nine without walking a batter. The Braves scored a run in the ninth on Justin Upton’s RBI single and had runners on the corners with two outs before Kershaw retired Evan Gattis to end the contest.

Adrian Gonzalez had two hits and an RBI for Los Angeles, which completed its first home sweep of at least three games over the Braves since July 26-29, 1990. The Dodgers moved 3 1/2 games ahead of idle San Francisco in the National League West, while Atlanta remained 1 1/2 games behind first-place Washington in the East.

Los Angeles got on the board in the first as Puig drew a one-out walk and Gonzalez followed with a run-scoring double off Julio Teheran (10-7), who allowed two runs while striking out nine over eight frames. Puig, who finished with two hits and two runs scored, added to the lead with one out in the third by depositing Teheran’s 1-2 fastball into the left-center field seats.

Puig has at least one hit in each of his 11 games against Atlanta, which finished July with a 13-13 record. Ryan Doumit and B.J. Upton had two hits apiece for the Braves, who were held to nine singles.
