Marlins 5, Braves 4: Giancarlo Stanton and Casey McGehee hit back-to-back run-scoring singles in the seventh as host Miami rallied to sweep Atlanta.

The Marlins improved to 12-4 at home, getting a four-out save from Steve Cishek – his sixth of the season. Mike Dunn (3-3) earned the victory with a scoreless inning of relief, McGehee finished with two hits and two RBIs and Garrett Jones added two hits, including a homer.

Chris Johnson finished 3-for-3 and B.J. Upton and Evan Gattis homered for Atlanta, which has lost three in a row for the first time this season. Ian Thomas (1-1) gave up two runs on two hits in one-third of an inning and David Carpenter surrendered the big hits to Stanton and McGehee.

Gattis’ seventh homer of the season - a line drive over the left-field wall leading off the sixth - pushed the Braves ahead 4-3. Thomas gave up consecutive singles to Reed Johnson and Christian Yelich to lead off the seventh, and Stanton and McGehee came through with singles to right off Carpenter to put the Marlins up 5-4.

Cishek struck out pinch-hitter Ramiro Pena to end the eighth and leave the bases loaded. McGehee doubled home Derek Dietrich in the first and Jones hit a solo homer -his fifth - in the second to stake Miami to a 2-0 advantage, but the Braves grabbed a 3-2 lead in the third on Upton’s second homer of the season, a three-run shot to left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Atlanta starter Ervin Santana struck out five while allowing three runs on five hits in six innings, while Miami starter Henderson Alvarez gave up four runs on eight hits in six innings with four strikeouts. … The Marlins recorded their first home sweep of the Braves since 2006. … Atlanta had not lost three games in a row since Sept. 15-17, 2013.
