Orioles 8, Athletics 4: Adam Jones belted a three-run homer while matching a career high with five RBIs and Nick Markakis recorded four hits as visiting Baltimore bounced back strong from a walk-off loss.

Chris Davis homered and drove in a pair, J.J. Hardy also went deep and Steve Pearce had three hits and scored twice for the Orioles, who won for the 11th time in their last 15 games. Wei-Yin Chen (10-3) improved to 4-0 in five starts against Oakland after yielding three runs in five innings.

Jed Lowrie drove in three runs and Brandon Moss hit his 22nd homer for the Athletics, who had their season-high seven-game home winning streak snapped and lost for the second time in their last 14 contests at O.co Coliseum. Jason Hammel (8-7) fell to 0-2 in two starts with Oakland after allowing five runs in two-plus innings.

Markakis, who reached base in all five at-bats, led off the first with a single, Pearce walked and Jones ripped a 2-0 pitch out to left-center for his 17th home run, and two batters later, Hardy drilled a 2-2 offering over the wall in left-center to make it 4-0. Davis' run-scoring double in the third extended Baltimore's lead to 5-0.

Moss got the Athletics on the board when he led off the third by blasting a 1-2 pitch out to right before Jones delivered a two-run single in the fourth to stretch the advantage to 7-1. Lowrie, who had three RBIs in his previous 14 games, recorded a two-out two-run double in the fourth and a two-out RBI single in the sixth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Markakis, Pearce and Jones - the 1-2-3 hitters in the lineup - were a combined 9-for-13 and scored six runs. ... Hammel fell to 0-5 with a 7.60 ERA in nine games against the Orioles after facing them for the first time since 2008. ... The 1989 World Series champion Athletics were honored in a pre-game ceremony.
