Machado led off the fourth with a single and, one out later, Cruz continued his torrid streak with a blast to right-center for his major league-leading 28th homer, surpassing his total from a year ago. Washington finally broke through against Tillman in the sixth when Rendon followed Denard Span's leadoff single with a shot to right-center for his 13th homer.
