Reds 3, Diamondbacks 0: Mike Leake struck out eight in 7 2/3 shutout innings and singled home a run as host Cincinnati won for just the second time in 11 games since the All-Star break.

Leake (8-9) won for the second time in his past six starts, holding the Diamondbacks to five hits with no walks. Todd Frazier went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and Aroldis Chapman pitched the ninth for his 23rd save of the season and 100th of his career.

Arizona starter Trevor Cahill (1-8) gave up three runs on seven hits in six innings, falling to 0-6 as a starter. Didi Gregorius finished with two hits as the Diamondbacks lost for the fourth time in their past six contests.

Cincinnati scored in the first when leadoff hitter Billy Hamilton snapped a 0-for-15 skid with a double to left and scored on Frazier’s single to left. The Reds made it 2-0 in the second thanks to an overturned call -- video replay showing Zack Cozart beat shortstop Gregorius’ throw to first with two outs -- and Leake followed with a RBI single to score Donald Lutz.

Frazier singled to right with one out in the sixth, stole second and scored on Brayan Pena’s two-out RBI single. Leake got pinch-hitter David Peralta to line out with runners on first and third to end the seventh, and Jonathan Broxton needed one pitch to get Mark Trumbo to fly out to center with runners on first and second to close the eighth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cincinnati RF Jay Bruce was placed on the bereavement list before the game. … Arizona 2B Aaron Hill, who missed two games after being hit on the right hand with a pitch Saturday, was hit with a pitch in the sixth and finished 0-for-3 to end his hitting streak at 10 games. … Frazier stole his 16th base, putting his four away from joining Chris Sabo (1990) and Aaron Boone (2002) as the only Cincinnati third baseman to post 20 homers and 20 steals in a season.
