Phillies 4, Padres 2: Cliff Lee struck out nine in eight innings and Freddy Galvis went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored as host Philadelphia halted San Diego’s four-game winning streak.

Lee (13-6) allowed two runs and five hits while issuing one walk in winning his third consecutive decision. Jonathan Papelbon struck out two in a perfect ninth for his 26th save in 33 opportunities.

The Phillies snapped a 2-2 tie in the seventh, when Galvis doubled into the left-field corner off Nick Vincent (4-3), was sacrificed to third by Lee and scored on a groundout by Cesar Hernandez. Philadelphia added an insurance run in the eighth as Galvis drove in Carlos Ruiz with a safety-squeeze bunt.

Tommy Medica led off the fifth with his first major-league homer to put San Diego ahead, but Galvis tied it in the bottom of the inning with a blast to left field.

The teams again traded solo shots in the sixth, with Jedd Gyorko going deep for the 18th time this season for the Padres and Jimmy Rollins hitting his sixth for the Phillies.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Padres starter Eric Stults allowed two runs and six hits in six innings while seeing his winless streak reach 10 starts. … Galvis is 8-for-16 with two homers and four RBIs over his last four games. … Gyorko has hit 10 homers since Aug. 2.
