Giants 2, Mets 1: Madison Bumgarner struck out 10 over seven innings while rookies Juan Perez and Ehire Adrianza each drove in a run as visiting San Francisco took two of three from New York.

Bumgarner (13-9) permitted one run on four hits and has won consecutive outings after enduring a seven-start winless stretch. Javier Lopez stranded a runner on second and retired both of the batters he faced in the ninth inning for his first save of the season for the Giants, who have won eight of 11.

Jon Niese (7-8) took the hard-luck loss, allowing two runs and seven hits in as many frames. Daniel Murphy accounted for New York’s only run with a fourth-inning RBI single.

Bumgarner set down nine of the first 10 batters he faced and the Giants broke through for both of their runs in the fourth when Hector Sanchez doubled and Joaquin Arias singled with one out. Perez – a New York native – followed with a line-drive single to plate Sanchez while Adrianza beat out a potential double-play grounder to score Arias.

New York put together back-to-back hits off Bumgarner in the bottom half, getting a leadoff double from Josh Satin and Murphy’s grounder up the middle. Bumgarner settled down to retire the next seven batters and benefited from good fortune with two outs in the sixth when Wilmer Flores’ grounder kicked off his left leg and straight to first baseman Buster Posey, stranding runners at first and third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bumgarner has allowed three earned runs or fewer in 19 consecutive starts, matching the longest streak by a Giant since Tim Lincecum from Aug. 16, 2007-June 11, 2008. … The Mets scored a total of 24 runs during their 11-game homestand, scoring one run or less five times over that span. … San Francisco RF Hunter Pence had homered in four straight games and was hitting .421 with nine home runs and 25 RBIs in September entering this series. He went 0-for-3 Thursday and finished the three-game set 1-for-10 with a run scored.
