Nationals 6, Marlins 4: Wilson Ramos and Ian Desmond each recorded three hits and knocked in a pair of runs as visiting Washington edged Miami to take two of three in the series.

Ramos and Ryan Zimmerman both belted solo homers while Jayson Werth added a single and a double for the Nationals, who had six extra-base hits. Stephen Strasburg (7-9) allowed four runs - two coming home on balks - and four hits while striking out seven over six innings for the victory.

Justin Ruggiano recorded three hits and Greg Dobbs had a pinch-hit RBI single in the sixth off Strasburg for the Marlins. Miami starter Jacob Turner (3-6) yielded five runs on nine hits in four-plus innings and has gone winless in his last 10 outings.

The Marlins loaded the bases with none out in the second before scoring two on Strasburg balks and another on Adeiny Hechavarria’s groundout for a 3-1 lead. Zimmerman’s fifth homer in six games and an RBI double up the right-center field gap by Desmond tied the game in the third.

Ramos singled home Desmond for the go-ahead run in the fifth and came home on Anthony Rendon’s triple to the left field corner. Desmond pushed the lead to 6-3 with an RBI triple in sixth and Washington’s bullpen put up three scoreless innings, capped by Rafael Soriano’s 39th save in the ninth.
