Phillies 3, Dodgers 2: Michael Young plated Casper Wells following shortstop Hanley Ramirez's second error of the ninth inning as host Philadelphia handed interim manager Ryne Sandberg his first victory by salvaging the finale of a three-game series.

Wells reached on a throwing error by Ramirez before advancing to third on Carlos Ruiz's fourth hit of the contest. Jimmy Rollins was intentionally walked to load the bases and Young's liner handcuffed Ramirez, who couldn't cleanly field the potential double-play ball.

Darin Ruf homered with two outs in the fourth to end a 21-inning scoreless drought under Sandberg. Cody Asche's RBI groundout forged a 2-2 tie in the sixth for the Phillies, who won for just the fifth time in 26 contests.

Andre Ethier homered to lead off the second inning and scored on Jerry Hairston Jr.'s two-out RBI single in the fourth for the Dodgers, who saw their season-high 10-game winning streak come to an end. Los Angeles still leads second-place Arizona by 7 1/2 games in the National League West.

Jonathan Papelbon (3-1) struck out a pair in a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the win. Brandon League (6-4) was undone by Ramirez's struggles in the field to take the loss.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Phillies LHP Cole Hamels permitted two runs on seven hits and struck out eight in seven innings, but settled for a no-decision. Fellow starter RHP Ricky Nolasco yielded two runs on five hits in six frames to accept the same fate. ... Los Angeles fell for the second time in 21 road contests - and first in seven outings in Philadelphia. The Dodgers open a four-game set versus Miami on Monday while the Phillies continue their 10-game homestand on Monday by playing the opener of a four-game set against Colorado.
