Dodgers 5, Mets 4 (12): Rookie Yasiel Puig hustled for a one-out double in the 12th inning and scored on Adrian Gonzalez's two-base hit as host Los Angeles rallied from a four-run deficit to extend its winning streak to eight games.

Pinch-hitter Andre Ethier belted a game-tying two-run homer in the ninth for the first-place Dodgers, who completed a three-game sweep to maintain their 7 1/2-game lead over Arizona in the National League West. Los Angeles improved to 40-8 since June 22 and 23-2 since the All-Star break.

After Pedro Feliciano (0-1) retired leadoff hitter Carl Crawford in the 12th, Puig hit a slow grounder up the middle and turned it into a double after the ball glanced off the glove of diving shortstop Omar Quintanilla. Gonzalez followed with his third hit of the night, a double down the third-base line that plated Puig with the winning run.

Paco Rodriguez (3-2) notched the win as five Dodgers relievers combined for seven scoreless innings after starter Chris Capuano surrendered four runs and 10 hits in five frames. New York's Dillon Gee yielded two runs and seven hits over six innings.

New York built a 4-0 lead on an RBI double in the second inning by Andrew Brown and Marlon Byrd's three-run homer in the third. The Dodgers halved the deficit in the sixth before Ethier's blast with one out in the ninth off LaTroy Hawkins forged a tie.
