Reds 6, Marlins 2: Homer Bailey pitched a complete game and Xavier Paul’s three-run double capped a five-run second inning as visiting Cincinnati rolled over Miami.

Bailey (2-3) struck out 10, allowing two runs and six hits to win for the first time since his season debut on April 5. Joey Votto collected three hits and an RBI and Brandon Phillips added two singles and two RBIs for the Reds, who have won eight of their last 10.

Derek Dietrich registered two hits and an RBI and Adeiny Hechavarria added a triple, a single and a run scored for Miami. Ricky Nolasco (2-5) gave up six runs on seven hits over five innings in losing his third straight start for the Marlins.

Ryan Hanigan singled and moved up a base on a sacrifice before Shin-Soo Choo was hit by a pitch and Zack Cozart singled with two outs to set the table for the Reds in the second. Nolasco walked Votto and Phillips back-to-back to push across two runs and Paul followed by lining a double to the left-field wall to give Cincinnati a 6-1 lead.

Bailey retired nine consecutive batters at one point before Rob Brantly singled in the fifth, but he was quickly erased on a double play. Bailey did not walk a batter and threw 125 pitches, notching his fourth career complete game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dietrich, acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays in the offseason, is 6-for-15 with four RBIs in his first four major-league games. … Hanigan and Cozart each recorded pair of hits for Cincinnati. It was Hanigan’s second multi-hit game in his last three starts. … Miami activated C Jeff Mathis from the disabled list, but he did not play. Mathis suffered a broken collarbone early in the spring.
