: Asdrubal Cabrera had three hits, including a go-ahead two-run double in the sixth, and Cleveland's bullpen threw five scoreless innings as the host Indians completed a three-game sweep.

Carlos Santana was 3-for-3 with an RBI double and Jason Kipnis had a run-scoring single and a sacrifice fly for Cleveland. Michael Brantley chipped in an RBI single and Michael Bourn had two hits and scored a run.

After starter Ubaldo Jimenez gave up four runs in four innings, five Indians relievers closed the door on Kansas City. Rich Hill (1-1) got the last two outs in the sixth to get the win and Chris Perez worked the ninth for his 13th save.

James Shields labored through five innings for the Royals before departing with a 4-3 lead. Cleveland opened the bottom of the sixth against reliever Tim Collins (2-5) with a walk, a single and a sacrifice to get two men in scoring position for Cabrera, who doubled to center to give the Indians the advantage.

Kipnis then greeted Everett Teaford with his RBI single that capped the scoring as Cleveland won its fourth straight overall. Alcides Escobar had two RBIs and David Lough went 2-for-4 with two runs scored to pace Kansas City.

GAME NOTEBOOK
: Cleveland activated RHP Blake Wood (elbow) from the 60-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Columbus. It also sent C Omir Santos outright to Columbus. ... The Royals are 1-5 at Cleveland this season. ... Kansas City resumes play Friday at home against Detroit. Cleveland travels to Minnesota to begin the second half of the season. The Royals and Indians do not meet again until Sept. 9.
