Indians 7, Reds 1:
Yan Gomes had three hits and Michael Bourn collected a pair of RBIs as host Cleveland used a seven-run fourth inning to split its two-game series with intrastate rival Cincinnati.

Scott Kazmir (3-2) allowed one run on eight hits over seven solid innings for the Indians, who beat the Reds for the ninth consecutive time at Progressive Field. Kazmir struck out five while lowering his ERA to 5.13.

The Indians sent 11 men to the plate in the fourth to chase Cincinnati starter Homer Bailey (3-4), who allowed seven runs on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings. Derrick Robinson and Jay Bruce each finished with two hits for the Reds.

Michael Brantley singled home Asdrubal Cabrera to open the scoring, and Gomes’ single to left made it 2-0. Ryan Raburn doubled home Brantley, Bourn doubled home a pair and run-scoring hits from Jason Kipnis and Cabrera capped the onslaught.

Bourn finished with two hits for Cleveland, which has won two straight after losing five in a row.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Reds started Devin Mesoraco at DH against Cleveland. Mesoraco finished 1-for-4 with a strikeout. … The Cincinnati bullpen allowed four hits but no runs in 4 1/3 innings. … Cabrera has been bothered by a right quadriceps issue that first bothered him in late-April.
