Brewers 7, Cubs 0:
Sean Halton hit a grand slam during a five-run first inning and Khris Davis also went deep as host Milwaukee continued its dominance over Chicago.

Tyler Thornburg (3-1) struck out four and walked two over six innings, allowing only a pair of singles, and Jimmy Nelson and Michael Blazek finished off the four-hitter. Thornburg has recorded quality starts in all six of his major-league starts.

The Brewers chased Cubs starter Chris Rusin (2-5) early, tagging the left-hander for six runs on four hits over four innings. Halton did the bulk of the damage by teeing off on a 3-2 sinker in the first for his first career grand slam.

Davis ripped a 2-2 changeup out to left-center in the fourth for his 10th homer. Carlos Gomez added an RBI double off the wall in left in the fifth for Milwaukee, which has won four straight and six of seven. The Brewers have won 36 of 51 meetings with the Cubs over the past three campaigns and lead the season series 13-5.

The Cubs didn't advance a runner past first base until Ryan Sweeney's one-out double in the seventh. Chicago has lost five straight and seven of eight.
