White Sox 5, Rangers 2: Jordan Danks and Josh Phegley hit solo homers as host Chicago took the rubber game to win its fourth consecutive series.

John Danks (4-10) allowed two runs on eight hits over six innings to win back-to-back starts for the first time since September 2011. Adam Dunn added an RBI single and Addison Reed notched his 35th save as the White Sox won for the eighth time in nine games and improved to 14-6 in their last 20.

Matt Garza (3-2) was tagged for five runs - four earned - on seven hits as the Rangers lost for only the sixth time in 25 contests but remained 2 1/2 games ahead of Oakland atop the American League West. Garza has allowed at least four runs in five straight starts.

Jeff Baker belted his second two-run homer of the series for Texas to knot it at 2-2 in the fourth but Chicago went ahead for good in the bottom of the inning. Jordan Danks homered in his first at-bat after replacing an injured Avisail Garcia to provide his brother John with the lead.

Dunn, who was 2-for-15 with 11 strikeouts against Garza, delivered an insurance run in the sixth before Phegley - the hero of Saturday's walk-off win - hit his fourth homer in the seventh for a 5-2 edge. The White Sox scored their first two runs in the third when Texas center fielder Craig Gentry dropped Gordon Beckham's fly ball

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Danks brothers made history, with Jordan the first player to homer in support of his brother since Billy and Bobby Shantz with the Kansas City Athletics in 1955. ... Four of Baker's 11 homers have come against the White Sox. He needs one more to match his career high set in 2008 with Colorado. ... Garcia was forced to exit the contest in the top of the fourth after crashing into the wall on Baker's blast, halting his hitting streak at 11 games. He underwent tests and a concussion was ruled out. ... Rangers CF Leonys Martin, who suffered a sprained right ankle in a collision with teammate David Murphy in the ninth inning on Saturday night, sat out on Sunday but said he hopes to be back in the lineup for the series opener at Seattle on Monday. Chicago will host Houston in a three-game set beginning Monday.
