White Sox 3, Royals 2: Jeff Keppinger went 3-for-3 while Alejandro De Aza drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning as Chicago won consecutive road games for the first time in over a month.

Dayan Viciedo singled and Keppinger drew a walk to open the ninth off Aaron Crow (3-3). Royals closer Greg Holland came on to retire Gordon Beckham on a flyout to center – allowing pinch runner Jordan Danks to take third – but De Aza’s fly ball to right was deep enough to score the final run.

Jesse Crain (2-1) extended his franchise-record scoreless streak to 29 innings in the eighth, but needed to retire Salvador Perez and Lorenzo Cain after allowing Eric Hosmer’s one-out triple. Addison Reed nailed down his 21st save in 23 chances for Chicago, which had not won two straight away from home since May 16-17.

Struggling Mike Moustakas drove in his first run since May 23 with a line-drive double to the gap in left-center in the second. Conor Gillaspie answered with a run-scoring single and Keppinger followed with an RBI bloop single into shallow right in the fourth that staked Chicago to a 2-1 advantage.

Perez evened it at 2-2 in the sixth with a hard-hit grounder to score Alcides Escobar, who led off the inning with a double.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Beckham, who is 0-for-12 in his career against Kansas City starter Wade Davis, did not start for the first time since coming off the disabled list on June 3. Beckham, who was replaced in the lineup by Keppinger, came on as a pinch hitter in the ninth. … Moustakas improved to 7-for-14 against Chicago starter Jose Quintana with a 1-for-2 effort against the left-hander. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2007 draft finished 2-for-4 overall to record his third consecutive multi-hit game, matching his longest such streak since April 22-24, 2012. … The White Sox’s back-to-back road victories match the number that they won over their previous 17 contests away from home.
