Red Sox 5, Rockies 3: John Lackey matched a career high with 12 strikeouts over seven strong innings and Daniel Nava drove in a pair of runs as Boston finished off a two-game sweep of visiting Colorado.

Lackey (5-5) limited the Rockies to two runs on eight hits for his seventh quality start in his last eight outings. Shane Victorino added three hits and an RBI and scored twice for the Red Sox.

Colorado's Michael Cuddyer, who tied Dante Bichette's franchise record by extending his hitting streak to 23 games, hit home runs leading off the sixth and eighth to pull the Rockies within 5-3, but recently installed closer Koji Uehara worked a perfect ninth for his second save.

Rockies starter Roy Oswalt (0-2) was tagged for five runs on nine hits over six innings in his second start of the season. The Red Sox jumped on him for three in the first with David Ortiz's run-scoring double sandwiched between RBI singles from Victorino and Nava.

Boston added two in third on Mike Napoli's RBI single and Nava's sacrifice fly. Wilin Rosario had an RBI single in the first for Colorado.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cuddyer has nine career multi-homer games, including three in his two seasons with the Rockies. … Lackey recorded double-digit strikeouts for the 14th time in his career and the first since he struck out 10 against the New York Yankees on Oct. 3, 2010. … Red Sox CF Jacoby Ellsbury extended his hitting streak to seven games while Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu went 0-for-4 to snap his seven-game streak.
