: Mark Reynolds and Drew Stubbs had three RBIs apiece as visiting Cleveland pounded out 16 hits and drew eight walks to win in manager Terry Francona's return to Fenway Park.

Francona, who won two World Series in eight years as manager in Boston, was given a video tribute and a standing ovation before the second inning. His current team got going moments later against Ryan Dempster (2-5) as Stubbs doubled in the game's first run and Reynolds added a two-run single one inning later.

David Ortiz hammered a three-run homer off Zach McAllister (4-3) in the bottom of the third to pull the Red Sox within 4-3, but it was all Cleveland after that. Reynolds had a run-scoring hit and Yan Gomes doubled in two runs after a dropped foul pop by Boston first baseman Mike Napoli to highlight a six-run sixth.

McAllister lasted five innings in picking up his first road win. Michael Bourn was 3-for-6 with a pair of RBIs, Asdrubal Cabrera had two hits and two runs while Carlos Santana had four walks and scored three times for the Indians, who have won six of seven.

Dempster gave up four runs and five hits in three frames, walking four in his third straight difficult outing. After posting a 2.93 ERA in his first seven starts, the right-hander has given up 15 runs in 12 2/3 innings in his last three appearances.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Red Sox 3B Will Middlebrooks left after four innings with lower back spasms. ... Boston 2B Dustin Pedroia, who went 1-for-4, has hit safely in 16 of his last 18 games, batting .389 in that stretch. ... Scott Barnes threw three scoreless innings for his first career save.
