Yankees 4, White Sox 0: Hiroki Kuroda matched his career high with 11 strikeouts in seven scoreless innings as host New York snapped Chicago's four-game winning streak.

Dewayne Wise went 3-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs, and Curtis Granderson and Robinson Cano also had solo blasts for the Yankees, who dropped the first two games of the series.

The was more than enough offensive support for Kuroda (8-7), who moved above .500 for the first time this season by allowing only three hits and improving to 5-1 in his last seven starts. He retired 15 straight at one point.

White Sox right-hander Jake Peavy (6-5) lost his fourth consecutive start despite a season-high 11 strikeouts. He yielded four runs on eight hits in eight innings to fall to 0-4 lifetime against the Yankees.

Granderson hit his 23rd homer and second in as many days in the first inning before New York padded the lead on Wise's RBI double in the second and solo blast in the fifth.

Cano, who extended his hitting streak to seven games, capped off a sensational month with his eighth homer in 13 games in the sixth inning, giving him 19 for the year

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kuroda had 11 strikeouts against the Chicago Cubs on June 6, 2008 - his first season in the majors. ... Cano's homer was his 11th in June, the most by a Yankees second baseman in a month since Joe Gordon in 1940.
