Yankees 4, Mets 3: Raul Ibanez hit a tying three-run homer and Eric Chavez belted a pinch-hit solo shot two batters later as the Yankees rallied to snap their three-game losing streak.

Ibanez's seventh-inning blast off Mets starter Chris Young, his 11th of the year and second in 24 games, erased a 3-0 deficit.

Chavez delivered the go-ahead homer off reliever Jon Rauch (3-7), who was taken deep for only the third time this season, and halted the Mets' winning streak at four games.

Clay Rapada (2-0) retired the only batter he faced for the victory and was among four relievers to bridge the gap to closer Rafael Soriano, who worked around a one-out single in the ninth for his 14th save. The Yankees' bullpen registered eight strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.

Yankees right-hander Ivan Nova, who had won his five previous starts, allowed three runs on five hits and struck out seven in 5 2/3 innings.

Young blanked the Yankees on two hits over six innings, but didn't retire a batter in the seventh and was charged with three runs on four hits.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis belted an opposite-field homer and Young added an RBI single for the Mets, who stranded 11 baserunners.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Yankees' rally kept Nova's 12-game road winning streak intact. ... Mets 1B Ike Davis, who hit a big three-run homer in the series opener, was a late scratch from the lineup due to possible food poisoning. He has 15 RBIs in his last 12 games. ...
