Powered by Prince Fielder, the National League made it two straight over the American League with a 5-1 win Tuesday night at the All-Star Game in Phoenix, Ariz.

Fielder muscled a three-run homer to the opposite field in the fourth off C.J. Wilson to give the NL a 3-1 lead. It was the first homer by a Brewer in All-Star Game history. Andre Ethier and Pablo Sandoval added RBI hits.

The AL had won 12 straight All-Star games played to a decision before losing 3-1 last year in Anaheim.

Adrian Gonzalez gave the AL the lead in the top of the fourth, turning on a Cliff Lee cut fastball and launching it into the seats in right-center. The AL then strung together three two-out singles, but Hunter Pence gunned down Jose Bautista trying to score from second on Adrian Beltre's sharp hit to left.

NL starter Roy Halladay handled all six batters he faced, getting a nice play from third baseman Scott Rolen, and the NL retired the first 11 AL batters. After the AL put two runners on in the ninth, Brian Wilson got the last two outs for the save. Tyler Clippard of the Nationals was credited with the win.

AL starter Jered Weaver tossed one scoreless inning. Josh Beckett was supposed to follow Weaver, but was scratched due to soreness in his left knee.

The NL leads the all time series 42-38-2. With the win, the NL representative will get homefield advantage in the World Series.
