Lucas Duda belted a home run to spark a four-run rally in the sixth inning as the visiting New York Mets recorded a 6-3 win over the Washington Nationals on Sunday.
The rally made of winner of reliever Ryota Igarashi (3-1), who pitched one-third of an inning in relief of starter Mike Pelfrey.
Duda's ninth homer of the season came against Livan Hernandez (8-13), who was lifted after allowing six runs and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings. It was the worst performance in six weeks for Hernandez, who had a 1.87 ERA in his last seven starts.
Bobby Parnell pitched the ninth inning to earn his fifth save of the season.
