Hunter Pence and John Mayberry Jr. belted two-run homers and Cliff Lee scattered three hits over seven innings as the Philadelphia Phillies cruised to a 10-0 victory over the visiting New York Mets on Monday.
Shane Victorino extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a two-run triple and Carlos Ruiz added a two-run single for Philadelphia, which secured its 17th shutout of the season.
Every member of the Phillies' starting lineup – save for Chase Utley – recorded at least one hit in the onslaught.
Lee (14-7) struck out seven en route to winning his fifth straight game for the second time this season. During his current streak, the lefthander has allowed just six runs while striking out 43.
Rookie Dillon Gee (11-5) yielded a season-high eight runs on seven hits and matched a career-high six walks.
Ruben Tejada and Lucas Duda had two hits apiece for New York, which has dropped 16 of its last 21 games.
