Daniel Murphy added three hits, two runs and an RBI for the Mets, who have won four of their last five games and scored 22 runs in their last two.

Dillon Gee (8-1) allowed three runs over six innings in improving to 4-0 on the road this season for the Mets.

Reyes, who entered the day leading the NL with a .334 average and the majors with 38 multi-hit efforts, opened the game with a single and scored later in the first on a passed ball. He added an RBI single in the second that gave New York a 3-2 edge and came home on Carlos Beltran's two-run single two batters later.

Reyes led off the ninth with his major league-high 14th triple and scored his 61st run - also tops in the majors - on a grounder by Jason Bay.

Texas starter Derek Holland (6-3) was battered for seven runs - three earned - and 12 hits in six innings.

Michael Young homered for the third straight day and fourth time in five games for the Rangers. Young, who finished with three RBIs, extended his hitting streak to 12 games and has driven in at least one run in six straight.
