Lucas Duda and David Wright drove in a pair of runs apiece to spark the New York Mets to a 7-5 home victory over the Florida Marlins on Thursday.
The support made a winner out of Miguel Batista (4-2), who allowed two runs and six hits over six innings.
Clay Hensley (2-6) only lasted two innings for the Marlins. He allowed four runs on two hits and walked two.
Emilio Bonifacio went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Florida. The Marlins tried to rally in the ninth and scored three times, but Bobby Parnell got Greg Dobbs to line out to end the game.
Mets catcher Josh Thole had to leave the game in the top of the second after being hit in the left hand by a foul ball.
