Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday continued to torment the Marlins as visiting St. Louis completed a four-game sweep with a 8-4 win at Florida Sunday.

Pujols blasted his third homer of the series, 27th this season, and Holliday went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Ryan Theriot snapped a seventh-inning tie with a run-scoring single.

Pujols went 8-for-18 in the series. The homer was the 435th of his career, moving him to No. 39 on the all-time list.

The injury-depleted Marlins had reached .500 before St. Louis arrived, but were further weakened when shortstop Hanley Ramirez did not play in the series due to a sprained shoulder.

Sunday’s game was delayed more than an hour by rain.
