Mike Stanton hit a grand slam in the top of the 10th inning to lead the Florida Marlins to a 7-3 victory over the New York Mets on Monday night.
The Mets forced extra innings when Lucas Duda hit a two-run homer with two outs in the ninth against Florida closer Leo Nunez.
Stanton connected with a hanging cutter from Mets reliever Jason Isringhausen (2-1) for his second career slam and his 25th homer of the season, third best in the National League.
Nunez (1-2) got the win, but blew his fourth save in 35 chances this season.
Florida's Javier Vazquez allowed one run in seven innings - a solo homer to Jason Bay in the fourth.
Gaby Sanchez had two RBIs - a sacrifice fly in the first and a single in the third, and Bryan Petersen had a sacrifice fly in the fourth for the Marlins.
It was the second straight game the Mets rallied in the last inning but lost. Washington beat New York 3-2 on Sunday.
