Derek Jeter showed he can still get it done offensively by belting two home runs to highlight a 4-for-6 effort as the New York Yankees rolled to a 12-5 road victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday.

Jeter went deep in the fifth and seventh innings, his first home runs since Aug. 24, 2010. In the seventh, Curtis Granderson followed Jeter with a solo shot.

Francisco Cervelli, who had one career home run coming into the game, belted a grand slam and Mark Teixeira added a two-run blast to highlight the six-run eighth inning.

The Yankees finished with 16 hits - with eight of their nine starters recording at least one.

All of this came after Texas had jumped out to an early 4-0 lead on New York ace CC Sabathia. The Yankees clawed back with consecutive RBI singles by Jeter and Granderson in the third.

Before the Yankees pulled away, the Rangers had closed to within 6-5 with an RBI single by Adrian Beltre in the seventh.

Sabathia (3-2) went six innings, allowing four runs on five hits with four walks and two strikeouts.

Rangers spot starter Dave Bush lasted four innings, allowing three runs on five hits with no walks and two strikeouts. Reliever Arthur Rhodes (1-2), who gave up the homers to Jeter and Granderson in the seventh, took the loss.
