Travis Snider's RBI double in the 10th inning lifted the Toronto Blue Jays to a come-from-behind 6-5 win over the visiting New York Yankees on Tuesday.

Snider, who came to the plate in a 4-for-40 slump, belted an Ivan Nova (1-2) pitch into the gap in right-center field to bring home Edwin Encarnacion with the winning run. It made a winner out of reliever Jon Rauch (1-1), who worked around a pair of walks to pitch a scoreless 10th inning.

Trailing 5-3, the Blue Jays forced extra innings with two runs in the ninth off Yankees closer Mariano Rivera. Yunel Escobar reached on a leadoff double and took third on a Snider groundout. Jose Bautista followed with a walk and Escobar scored on a wild pitch to trim the deficit to one.

An Adam Lind single moved Bautista to third, and John McDonald followed with a perfect squeeze bunt for a single, bringing home Bautista to tie the game. Corey Patterson came up one batter later with the bases loaded and one out, but grounded into a double play to end the threat.

The late Toronto surge cost A.J. Burnett a shot at his fourth win of the season. The veteran righthander allowed three runs - two earned - on six hits in 5 1/3 innings, walking five and striking out six. Toronto counterpart Kyle Drabek was tagged for four runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings, walking four and striking out two.

Jose Bautista belted his fourth home run of the season for Toronto, while Mark Teixeira and Curtis Granderson went deep for the Yankees. Teixeira's two-run shot in the sixth inning was his AL-leading sixth of the year.
