Eduardo Escobar hit a walk-off home run to lead off the last of the ninth inning as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 on Tuesday in Phoenix.

The loss trimmed the Dodgers' National League West lead to a half-game over the Colorado Rockies.

Escobar hit a 3-2 pitch from Kenta Maeda (8-10) deep into the right field seats as the Diamondbacks (80-78) broke a four-game losing streak.

Cody Bellinger homered for the Dodgers (88-70), but they were only 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position and fell into a tie with Colorado (87-70) in the loss column.

The Dodgers tied the game in the top of the ninth inning off Brad Boxberger (3-7).

Enrique Hernandez singled to open the ninth, stole second, took third on a throwing error by catcher Chris Stewart and scored on pinch hitter Chris Taylor's ground-rule double into the swimming pool in right-center field to tie it at 3. Boxberger got two flyouts and a groundout to get out of the inning.

Yasmani Grandal had three hits while Hernandez and Bellinger had two apiece for the Dodgers, who have four games remaining. Colorado has five left.

A.J. Pollock had two hits for the Diamondbacks.

Bellinger led off the second inning with his 24th homer of the season for a 1-0 lead.

Dodgers right-hander Walker Buehler gave up only two singles and a walk in the first five innings before running into trouble with two outs in the sixth. Jon Jay singled and Ketel Marte walked before David Peralta doubled them in to make it 2-1.

The Dodgers tied it in the seventh when Grandal tripled to lead off the inning and pinch runner Tim Locastro scored on Hernandez's single.

Pollock singled with one out in the last of the seventh and took third on Chris Owings' double. Escobar was intentionally walked before pinch hitter Ildemaro Vargas singled to center for a 3-2 lead. Alex Wood entered and got out of a bases-loaded situation with a forceout and a lineout.

Buehler gave up four hits and two runs in six innings, with five strikeouts and two walks.

Diamondbacks starter Matt Koch also got a no-decision, allowing one run on five hits in 4 1/3 innings. He walked three and struck out two.
