Justin Turner homered among his four hits, Enrique Hernandez also homered and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 9-6 in Denver on Sunday.

Rich Hill (8-5) struck out seven in five innings and Scott Alexander earned his third save for Los Angeles, which moved within a half-game of the National League West-leading Rockies.

Charlie Blackmon homered twice and Nolan Arenado also hit a home run for the Rockies.

Colorado starter Tyler Anderson (6-8) was done in the third inning after allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits. He allowed two runs in the first on Manny Machado's RBI double, with David Freese driving him home with a single.

Blackmon homered leading off the bottom of the first, the second straight game he went deep, to make it 2-1.

Los Angeles came right back in the top of the second to score two more runs. Hernandez led off with a home run and Brian Dozier walked with two outs. He scored when Matt Holliday misplayed Turner's fly ball to left for an error.

Colorado made it 4-2 in the fourth when DJ LeMahieu tripled and came home on Trevor Story's groundout. The Dodgers added to the lead on Chris Taylor's two-run double in the fifth.

Los Angeles added to its lead in the sixth against Colorado's fourth pitcher of the day. Cody Bellinger led off with a walk off Yency Almonte and Turner followed with his 13th home run of the season to make it 8-2.

The Rockies drew closer in the sixth. Blackmon and LeMahieu led off with consecutive doubles to score one run and Arenado, mired in a 5-for-39 slump entering Sunday, homered to left-center to make it 8-5. It was his 32nd of the season.

Blackmon's solo shot in the eighth -- his 26th homer of the season -- made it 8-6 but Hernandez tripled and scored on a single in the ninth to extend the Dodgers' lead.
