Rockies 6, Nationals 4: Jorge De La Rosa recorded season highs with 11 strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings en route to winning his fifth straight decision as host Colorado held on to defeat Washington and snap a seven-game losing streak.

Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson each recorded two hits and an RBI while Nolan Arenado, Ben Paulsen and Michael McKenry also drove in runs for the Rockies, who are 7-25 in their last 32 games. De La Rosa (11-6), who improved to an astonishing 42-14 at Coors Field, yielded two runs and scattered eight hits.

Stephen Strasburg (7-8) ran his winless string to four starts after allowing four runs and nine hits in 5 1/3 innings, and Denard Span registered four hits and an RBI as the Nationals' four-game winning streak came to an end despite recording 12 hits - their sixth straight game in double digits. Jayson Werth and Anthony Rendon drove in runs in the ninth inning for Washington, which scored twice and collected four hits against LaTroy Hawkins before the closer struck out Ian Desmond with the bases loaded.

Josh Rutledge (two hits) and Dickerson delivered back-to-back doubles with one out in the first, and after Arenado walked, Paulsen and McKenry produced RBI singles to give Colorado a 3-1 lead. Washington cut the deficit in half in the fifth when Danny Espinosa led off with a double, stole third and scored on Span's two-out single.

The Rockies restored their two-run advantage in the sixth as Blackmon greeted reliever Ross Detwiler with a two-out RBI single. Arenado doubled home a run in the seventh and scored when Paulsen struck out on a pitch in the dirt and first baseman Adam LaRoche couldn't handle the throw from catcher Jose Lobaton.
