Pirates 3, Rockies 2 (11): Jordy Mercer delivered an RBI double with one out in the bottom of the 11th inning as Pittsburgh made it two straight over Colorado.

Neil Walker singled - his third hit of the game - to start the 11th against Chad Bettis (0-2) and was sacrificed to second by pinch-hitter Chris Stewart. After Pedro Alvarez was intentionally walked, Mercer drilled a 1-0 pitch into the left-center gap to give the Pirates their major league-best 23rd one-run victory of the season.

Walker delivered an RBI single to tie it 2-2 in the eighth and doubled and scored on Gaby Sanchez's ground-rule double in the fourth for Pittsburgh. Jared Hughes (5-2) pitched a scoreless 11th to earn the victory after Charlie Morton, who had won his previous three home starts, allowed two runs and five hits in seven innings.

Colorado All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, who has 21 home runs and leads the National League with a .340 average, departed in the fourth inning after suffering a left leg injury while running to first. Carlos Gonzalez belted a two-run homer and Brett Anderson struck out eight while allowing one run and four hits in seven innings.

Gonzalez, who struck out a career-high five times Friday, blasted a 2-2 pitch out to right for his first home run since May 30 to make it 2-1 in the seventh. The Rockies put runners on first and third with one out in the 11th, but Hughes speared Charlie Blackmon's line drive and doubled Charlie Culberson off third to end the threat.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pittsburgh LF Starling Marte, who was hit in the head by a pitch Friday, did not play. ... Colorado 1B Justin Morneau missed his second straight game because of neck stiffness. ... RF Gonzalez, playing his fifth game since missing 35 because of a finger injury, prevented the Pirates from going ahead in the eighth when he cut down Andrew McCutchen with a perfect throw to the plate on Walker's single.
