Giants 4, Rockies 2 (completion of suspended game): Hunter Pence delivered a tiebreaking RBI double in the eighth inning to lift visiting San Francisco in a contest that was halted on May 22 because of rain.

Pence, who went 4-for-5 on Sunday and is riding a 13-game hitting streak, finished with two hits after homering prior to the suspension of play. Pinch-hitter Travis Ishikawa drove in Pence with a single and Jeremy Affeldt (4-2) earned the victory after retiring all four batters he faced as the Giants' first pitcher when play resumed.

Sergio Romo allowed one hit in a scoreless eighth inning while Santiago Casilla yielded two in the ninth before earning his 13th save in 14 chances since taking over the closer's role in early July. Andrew Susac singled to start the winning rally as all three of the Giants' hits after play resumed came in the eighth.

Christian Friedrich (0-4) was the first Colorado pitcher Monday and yielded Susac's single before Pence greeted Adam Ottavino with his two-base hit. Buster Posey followed with an infield hit before Ishikawa provided insurance.

The game resumed in the sixth inning with two out and Colorado's Michael Cuddyer on first base. Cuddyer and teammates Wilin Rosario and Troy Tulowitzki have since gone on the disabled list and were replaced in the lineup.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Francisco, the National League wild-card leader, entered the conclusion of the contest riding a six-game winning streak, but this victory will not officially be recognized as its seventh straight. ... Cuddyer is on the disabled list for the third time this season and second since May 22. ... The contest was played in pleasant conditions with temperatures in the low 80s - a far cry from May 22, when the inclement weather included a tornado warning in the area.
