Rockies 2, Giants 1: Troy Tulowitzki and Nolan Arenado homered, and Franklin Morales pitched seven solid innings as host Colorado made it two straight over San Francisco.

Justin Morneau and Brandon Barnes had two hits apiece for the Rockies, who are 5-1 in their last six games. Morales (2-1) allowed one run and five hits while striking out seven, Rex Brothers needed one pitch to get out of trouble in the eighth and LaTroy Hawkins wiggled out of a two-on, one-out jam in the ninth to earn his sixth save.

Hunter Pence went 2-for-4 for the second straight game and provided San Francisco's offense with a home run. Madison Bumgarner (2-2) allowed two runs and nine hits while striking out six in eight innings as the Giants and Rockies played their eighth one-run contest in the last nine meetings, with each team winning four.

Tulowitzki led off the fourth by crushing a 2-2 pitch over the wall in left-center for his third home run of the season, which followed his diving stop of Joaquin Arias' grounder in the top of the frame that saved a run. Pence got the Giants even when he belted a 1-1 pitch out to left - his second of the year - with two outs in the fifth.

Arenado extended his hitting streak to 13 games after driving a 2-2 pitch into the seats in left for his fourth homer. San Francisco threatened when Pence and Michael Morse singled in the eighth against Adam Ottavino, but Brothers came in and got Pablo Sandoval to ground into an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Giants placed LHP David Huff on the 15-day disabled list after he strained his left quadriceps when beating out his first major league hit Monday and recalled OF Juan Perez from Triple-A Fresno. ... Morales is 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA in two starts since returning to the rotation. ... Morneau, the reigning National League Player of the Week, is 11-for-27 with three home runs, four doubles and 12 RBIs in his last seven contests.
