Twins 3, Indians 1: Rookie Danny Santana ripped a triple among his three hits and scored twice while Anthony Swarzak recorded the win in his first start in nearly two years as host Minnesota claimed the rubber match of the three-game series.

Oswaldo Arcia belted a solo homer for the Twins, who improved to 2-4 on their 10-game homestand and have split the first 10 meetings with their American League Central rival. Brian Dozier slapped the go-ahead RBI double with two out in the fifth inning and Sam Fuld added an RBI single in the victory.

Jose Ramirez had an RBI double down the left-field line in the third inning for Cleveland after being recalled from Triple-A Columbus earlier in the day. The Indians mustered little else and dropped their first series since losing two of three at Seattle from June 27-29.

After the teams scratched for one run apiece during the third, Minnesota seized the advantage two innings later as Dozier plated Santana with a double to right. Arcia added an insurance run in the sixth after depositing a 2-2 fastball from Trevor Bauer (4-5) over the wall in right field for his sixth homer - and first since June 25.

With Kyle Gibson scratched due to a balky back, Swarzak (2-0) allowed one run on two hits in five innings while making his first start since October 2012. Four relievers bridged the gap to Glen Perkins, who struck out two in the ninth for his 24th save.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cleveland OF Michael Bourn ran during pregame for the third straight day and did not report any issue. Bourn has been sidelined since July 5 with a hamstring injury. ... Bauer permitted three runs on six hits in as many innings to take the loss for the Indians, who wrap up their 11-game road trip by opening a four-game series in Kansas City on Thursday. ... The Twins conclude their homestand by beginning a four-game series versus the Chicago White Sox on Thursday.
