Blue Jays 14, Red Sox 1: Melky Cabrera matched career highs with two homers and five RBIs while light-hitting Ryan Goins had four hits and four RBIs – both personal bests – as visiting Toronto rode a big sixth inning to a rout of Boston.

R.A. Dickey (9-10) had no issues making the run support hold up, giving up a run and three hits while striking out a season-high 10 in seven innings. Munenori Kawasaki drove in two runs and scored three times while Colby Rasmus chipped in an RBI double for the Blue Jays, who have won four straight against the Red Sox in the past week.

Clay Buchholz (5-7) was roughed up for seven runs in five-plus frames and reliever Felix Doubront gave up six more in just two-thirds of an inning as Boston surrendered 14 hits and eight walks overall. David Ortiz provided all of the offense with an RBI single in the sixth as Boston lost for the sixth time in seven games.

Buchholz immediately dug himself a hole by walking leadoff man Jose Reyes to begin the game before serving up a two-run shot to Cabrera. Goins singled on a 3-0 pitch in the fourth to bring in a pair and doubled in another run in the sixth to chase Buchholz.

Doubront entered but fared no better, walking the first man he faced before a sacrifice fly and Cabrera's three-run blast to left made it 9-0. Kawasaki added a two-run double later in the nine-run frame, the biggest for an opponent against the Red Sox this season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Toronto acquired 3B Danny Valencia from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for C Erik Kratz and RHP Liam Hendriks. ... The Blue Jays have outscored the Red Sox 35-8 during the four straight wins, which came after Boston's 14-1 victory in Toronto last Monday. ... Buchholz's seven earned runs represent his highest total since Oct. 1, 2012 (career-high eight at New York Yankees).
