Twins 6, Brewers 4: Josh Willingham and Brian Dozier homered as visiting Minnesota powered past Milwaukee.

Samuel Deduno (2-3) allowed two run on six hits and four walks in five innings for the Twins, who ended up with a two-game split of the home-and-home set that shifts to Minnesota on Wednesday. Dozier went 3-for-3 and Josmil Pinto added an RBI to pace the Twins' offense.

Yovani Gallardo (3-4) was knocked around for six runs and eight hits in five innings. Jean Segura had two hits and Ryan Braun drove in two runs while Lyle Overbay and Martin Maldonado each recorded an RBI for the Brewers.

Milwaukee grabbed the lead in the first inning, when Segura and Scooter Gennett opened with back-to-back singles before the former came in to score on Braun’s fielder’s choice. Minnesota got the run right back in the second as Trevor Plouffe reached with a one-out single, moved up on a wild pitch and an error and scored on Pinto’s base hit.

Willingham put the Twins ahead for good with one swing in the third, following singles by Dozier and Joe Mauer with a shot into the Brewers bullpen in left-center. Dozier’s two-run blast in the fifth made it 6-2 and Glen Perkins allowed a run in the ninth before locking up his 15th save.
