Rays 4, Blue Jays 3: Kelly Johnson and Desmond Jennings hit solo homers and Alex Cobb threw 6 1/3 strong innings as surging Tampa Bay evened its series with host Toronto.

Cobb (5-2) limited Toronto to a run on three hits as the Rays won for the 10th time in 13 games. Luke Scott added a pair of RBIs while Evan Longoria went 2-for-4 with two runs scored to extend his hitting streak to 15 games.

Ramon Ortiz (1-2) lasted just 2 1/3 innings in defeat, charged with four runs on six hits.

Johnson capped Tampa Bay's two-run second inning with a blast into the first row of restricted seats in straightaway center field, and Jennings made it 3-0 an inning later with a shot over the wall in left-center. Singles by Matt Joyce and Longoria chased Ortiz later in the frame, and Scott drove in his second run of the game on a single to shallow center.

Colby Rasmus put Toronto on the board with a blast to right field in the fifth, and the Jays closed to within a pair of runs on a Jose Bautista RBI single in the eighth. Toronto struck again in the ninth on a Fernando Rodney wild pitch that brought Rasmus home, but Rodney struck out Melky Cabrera with the tying run on first base to lock down his ninth save.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Both Johnson and Jennings had defensive gems in the early going. Johnson gunned down Edwin Encarnacion trying to stretch a single into a double, while Jennings robbed Adam Lind of extra bases with a running catch at the wall in left-center. ... Toronto turned four double plays. ... Longoria is batting .400 during his hitting streak and has reached base in 44 of 45 games overall.
