Phillies 7, Cardinals 3: Ben Revere singled home the go-ahead run before Erik Kratz followed with a three-run homer to cap a four-run eighth inning as host Philadelphia earned a split of the four-game series.

Kratz's towering blast was the fourth straight hit off Mitchell Boggs (0-2) and made a winner of Mike Adams (1-1), who pitched a scoreless eighth before Jonathan Papelbon closed it out in the ninth.

Laynce Nix delivered a pinch-hit RBI double in the seventh to tie it at 3-3 for the Phillies after St. Louis had gone ahead by scratching out single runs in the sixth and seventh.

Matt Carpenter homered and Allen Craig had two hits and an RBI for the Cardinals, who received six-plus innings of three-run ball from starter Jake Westbrook. Kyle Kendrick allowed two runs on eight hits in six innings for the Phillies.

Michael Young started the winning rally with a one-out infield single off the glove of Boggs and moved to third on Domonic Brown's single. Revere, batting .203, followed by lacing a single to center for a 4-3 lead and Kratz provided insurance with his second homer.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Young went 1-for-3 to extend his hitting streak to 12 games. ... Cardinals 1B Matt Adams has multiple hits in five of his eight games and is batting .542. ... Phillies RHP Durbin has inherited nine runners this season and eight have scored. ... St. Louis continues its nine-game road trip at Washington on Monday while the Phillies will host Pittsburgh in the opener of a four-game set.
