Phillies 5, Brewers 1: Tyler Cloyd worked 6 2/3 scoreless innings and Delmon Young homered as visiting Philadelphia took the opener of a four-game set from Milwaukee.

John Mayberry Jr. doubled in a run and Domonic Brown had two hits for the Phillies, who have won five straight. Cloyd (2-2) walked five but surrendered only four hits to even his record and lift Philadelphia (31-30) above .500 for the first time this season.

Jonathan Lucroy drove in a run with a groundout while Wily Peralta (4-7) was knocked around for five runs and seven hits in five innings as the Brewers fell for the fourth time in the last five games.

Philadelphia loaded the bases on three straight singles to begin the game and got a sacrifice fly from Ryan Howard before Mayberry came in on a wild pitch for a quick 2-0 lead. Cloyd drew a one-out walk in the second and came home when Mayberry’s double rolled all the way to the wall in right-center.

The Phillies made it 4-0 with a fielder’s choice grounder from Erik Kratz that plated Brown in the third and Young’s solo shot to center in the fifth made it a five-run advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Milwaukee LF Ryan Braun (thumb) was back in the lineup after a day off and went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks, a stolen base and a run scored. … Brown failed to homer for just the fourth time in the last 11 games. … The Phillies snagged high school SS J.P. Crawford with the No. 16 pick in the first-year player draft. The Brewers lost their first-round pick when they signed RHP Kyle Lohse as a free agent.
