Brewers 8, Phillies 5:
Jonathan Lucroy homered twice and drove in four runs en route to the first five-hit game of his career as visiting Milwaukee snapped a season-high six-game losing streak and avoided a dubious franchise mark for futility in a single month.

Lucroy finished a triple short of the cycle and Yuniesky Betancourt had three hits and an RBI for the Brewers, who rocked Cole Hamels (1-9) for seven runs - six earned - on 12 hits over five innings, sending the left-hander to his sixth straight loss.

Domonic Brown hit a pair of homers - a three-run shot in the first and a solo blast in the sixth - while Jimmy Rollins added a solo homer for the Phillies, who have lost two straight and four of six. Brown hit 12 home runs in May and has 15 this season.

Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo (4-5) wasn't sharp, allowing five runs in 5 2/3 innings and surrendering three home runs, but received enough support to snap a career-worst four-start losing streak. The Brewers' bullpen provided 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief with Francisco Rodriguez striking out two in a perfect ninth for his second save.

The Phillies led 3-0 after Brown's first blast, but Lucroy and Jeff Bianchi drove in runs in the second to cut into the lead and Milwaukee scored four times in the third. Aramis Ramirez, Lucroy and Betancourt all had RBI singles in the big inning while Carlos Gomez drove in another run with a sacrifice fly.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Brewers finished May with a 6-22 record, one defeat shy of tying the club record for losses in a month. … Of the Phillies' last 36 home runs, 32 have been solo shots. … Gallardo has won all four of his regular-season starts against Philadelphia.
