Angels 3, Astros 1:
Josh Hamilton doubled home the go-ahead run in the eighth and C.J. Wilson struck out 10 as visiting Los Angeles completed a three-game series sweep with its sixth straight victory.

Wilson (8-5) matched a career high by winning his fourth consecutive start, limiting Houston to an unearned run and three hits over seven dominant innings as the Angels completed a perfect 6-0 road trip and avenged a four-game sweep by the Astros four weeks ago. Wilson has 31 strikeouts in 20 2/3 innings over his last three starts against Houston.

Hamilton snapped a 1-1 deadlock with a drive to the gap in left-center off reliever Jose Cisnero (2-1) to plate Howie Kendrick with the go-ahead run. Shortstop Jake Elmore's relay to home plate was wild, allowing Hamilton to continue home for a 3-1 edge.

Mark Trumbo belted a solo homer - his 18th - and Kevin Jepsen escaped out of a two-out jam in the eighth inning before closer Ernesto Frieri worked around a leadoff single in the ninth for his 21st save in 23 chances.

Lucas Harrell was outstanding for the Astros, giving up one run on six hits while striking out seven over seven innings. Elmore and Brandon Barnes each had a pair of hits for Houston, which lost for the fifth time in six games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Astros 1B Carlos Pena left the team to fly to the Dominican Republic due to a death in the family. He is also expected to miss Monday's opener of a four-game home series against Tampa Bay. ... Hamilton went 4-for-8 in the series and extended his hitting streak to six games for the Angels, who will have a day off before opening a six-game homestand Tuesday with three games against the St. Louis Cardinals. ... Houston placed OF Justin Maxwell on the seven-day concussion list and recalled OF Jimmy Paredes from Triple-A Oklahoma City, while Angels OF Peter Bourjos was diagnosed with a broken right wrist after being hit by a pitch from Houston's Jordan Lyles on Saturday. He will be sidelined two to three weeks.
