Mariners 4, White Sox 2:
Raul Ibanez hit a two-run homer and Joe Saunders pitched 6 1/3 strong innings as host Seattle handed Chicago its seventh straight loss.

Jesus Sucre and Kendrys Morales drove in one run apiece as the Mariners beat the White Sox for only the sixth time in the last 32 meetings. Chicago’s skid matches its longest since Sept. 11-17, 2011.

Saunders (4-5) allowed one run and five hits before to improve to 4-1 with a 2.25 ERA in six starts at Safeco Field this season. Tom Wilhelmsen allowed a run-scoring single to Adam Dunn in the ninth before retiring Jeff Keppinger on a fly ball for his 13th save after blowing three of his previous four opportunities.

Chicago took a 1-0 lead on Keppinger’s single in the second and Seattle tied it in the bottom of the inning on Sucre’s single. Kendrys Morales had a run-scoring double off John Danks (0-2) in the third and Ibanez followed by capping a 13-pitch at-bat with a two-run shot to right.

Danks allowed four runs (three earned) and seven hits in six innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: White Sox 1B Paul Konerko (neck) returned from a one-game absence and went 1-for-4. … Mariners OF Michael Morse (quadriceps) could be back by the middle of the week. He last played May 28. … Chicago has been outscored 37-11 during its skid.
