Yasmani Grandal and Kyle Blanks each homered and Jason Marquis worked into the seventh inning as host San Diego extended its winning streak to five games.

Marquis (9-2) won his eighth consecutive decision while allowing three runs on three hits over 6 2/3 innings, and Huston Street allowed a run in the ninth before recording his 12th save and first since May 20. San Diego has won eight of its last 10 games to move within three games of Arizona for the division lead.

Miguel Montero hit a two-run homer in the first and the Diamondbacks added a run in the fourth before the Padres rallied with five unearned runs in the fourth off Wade Miley (4-6), who fell to 1-5 in seven career starts against San Diego.

Everth Cabrera began the fourth-inning outburst with a leadoff single before Chris Denorfia reached on an error by shortstop Didi Gregorius. Chase Headley and Logan Forsythe each drove in a run before Grandal launched a three-run blast into the second deck in left-center field.

Blanks added a solo homer in the sixth off Miley, who was charged with six runs (one earned) over six innings. Gerardo Parra drove in a run in the ninth for Arizona, which has lost five of its last seven.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The victory gave San Diego a .500 record for the first time since April 10, 2011. … Marquis has won all eight decisions over his last 10 starts, and his eight-game winning streak is his longest since a career-best 11-0 run over 17 starts with St. Louis in 2004. … Parra extended his hitting streak to 10 games with his RBI double in the ninth.
